We’re thrilled to launch our annual program for 2024, jam-packed with events, workshops and opportunities to get those pens to paper! We’re back with a bang, presenting much-loved initiatives such as The Kat Muscat Fellowship, Toolkits, The Hachette Australia Prize and The Catalyse Nonfiction Prize, as well as everything Voiceworks—old and new!

In 2024, we encourage you to get stuck into the poetry, fiction, nonfiction, comics and art found in each issue of Voiceworks, Australia’s premier youth literary journal, and challenge you to submit your own work for feedback and publication. There is never a better time than now, especially when there is a dedicated group of young writers and editors ready to welcome you into the community.

If you're not in Metro Melbourne, that’s ok too. Toolkits and Voiceworks accepts submissions from all over Australia, and in 2024, our regular digitally based issues are ready to host your coded, uploaded, buzzing and whirring work.

A great way to be involved in our programs and sharpen your own writing practise is joining as a member, or renewing your subscription to Voiceworks. All our program activity is free once you’re a part of the Express Media community. After all, we're here for you!
